About the project
Digital Literate aims to capacitate educators in Digital and Media Literacy through continuous professional development initiatives and the development of key competences. We aim to raise awareness among educators about the potential of integrating Digital and Media Literacy topics within the subject curricula.
Project Creation
The project was initiated to empower educators in Digital and Media Literacy through ongoing professional development and to develop key competencies. It aims to raise awareness among educators about the potential of integrating Digital and Media Literacy topics into the curriculum.

The project will impact by promoting digital and media literacy across the entire school community, creating a supportive environment that encourages the development of digital competencies.
Project Actions
The project involves creating a training pathway in Digital and Media Literacy for educators, developing Learning Unit Plans by teachers, their pilot implementation in classrooms, and creating a Good Practice Catalogue in Digital and Media Literacy.

Capacity Building
Programme
The Capacity Building Programme will establish the methodological framework used to train educators, including objectives, timeline, methodology, learning outcomes, key topics and training activities
Development of the
Educators Training
Course Contents (MOOC)
Provide to teachers and school leaders key competences on digital and media literacy for education and addressing their need for Continuous Professional Development.
Train the educators

Development of a Digital and Media Literacy training path with high transferability.
Learning Unit Plans Design
The schools partners will create a Learning Unit Plan, namely a concrete lesson (or a series of lessons) which covers the topics of the MOOC’s modules.
Pilot in classrooms and
students’ digital outputs
development
Teachers will actively lead the pilot of the LUPs in classrooms through innovative and interactive teaching methodologies and support to students while they are producing their digital outputs.
Individual Good
Practice Catalogue on
Digital and Media
Literacy
Each school will collect students’ outputs together with the LUPs developed by teachers into a Good Practice Catalogue on Digital and Media Literacy.
Specific Objectives

Raise the awareness of teachers and school leaders about the potential of integrating Digital and Media Literacy topics within the subject curricula
Equipe teachers, school leaders and students with digital skills necessary to:
Effectively access and critically analyse media content
Make informed decisions about which media they use and how to use them
Understand the ethical implications of media and new technologies
Communicate effectively, including by creating content.
